This workshop started as a dream of getting to create at the Sea Ranch Lodge. Every time I shared that dream, I heard the same thing from so many photographer friends:
“I’ve always wanted to shoot there too!"
So instead of letting it stay a dream,
I decided to make it happen not just for me but for you as well!!!

Will there be educators?
This workshop will be led by myself alongside 2 additional educators (educators will be announced on instagram!), with a total of 4 different lessons, each thoughtfully created to bring depth, perspective, and intention to the workshop.
Education will take place during relaxed morning sessions, followed by hands-on guidance throughout our styled shoots. Our educators will be present alongside you — offering insight, encouragement, and real-time feedback as you create.
This is mentorship designed to feel personal, accessible, and grounded — not performative.

Where will we be staying?
We’ll be staying together in a beautifully designed Sea Ranch home right near the stunning Northern California coastline. Chosen to cultivate connection, the space offers open gathering areas, abundant natural light, and quiet corners for rest and reflection. Accommodations will include a mix of shared and single beds, creating a communal experience while still honoring comfort and ease. This home will serve as our creative hub — a place where we’ll share meals, meaningful conversations, and space to slow down, connect, and grow together throughout the workshop.

Meet your host
My name is Sarah Reilly! I’m based in Buffalo, NY, where I live with my husband and our dog, Maverick.
Photography has been a lifelong passion of mine. I was always that person that made all of my friends do photoshoots in middle school. I took my first classes in high school, then spent five years working alongside the Creative Director at the church I go to, diving deep into photography, videography, and graphic design. Four years ago Willow & Oak Photography was born—turning my dream into a full-time reality.
After working in the industry for a year or so, I got really passionate about helping this industry grow in community! I started hosting different events such as parties, styled shoots, content days, etc!
Last year I hosted my first workshop and yet again, I fell in love with hosting them! So, here we are and I am so so excited to see what this year has in store!!!

There will never be enough words to do this workshop justice. You could just tell the heart and soul Sarah puts into her workshops. From the group of woman, to the content, to the education, and everything in between…. I loved every second of this trip. I left this trip feeling all sorts of emotions… Sad it was over, but with my cup so freaking full.

This was an absolutely stunning retreat!!! Sarah is such a skillful creative and planner. The styled shoots and logistics (like accommodations) alone were worth the price to me, but the education and community really made the quality of the workshop over the top. Every detail was thought-out, and the styled shoots were more stunning than I could ever express!! I could not recommend more!!

will there be any down time to explore?
Absolutely. Each day is designed with space to breathe — mornings focused on education, followed by a casual lunch and unstructured time to explore the coastline, wander, or reset before an evening of thoughtfully styled shoots.
Are there any discounts or payment plans available?
Yes! The one and only discount will be the pay in full option! The first 3 photographers who pay in full will receive $850 off!! Making the trip cost, $4,000 instead of $4,850. We also have a payment plan of 5 installments of $970 throughout the year!
I've been shooting for years. Is this still for me?
Absolutely!!! I actually highly recommend this workshop if you've been shooting for years! This workshop was designed for every level. Whether you've been behind the camera for years or are just getting started, you'll walk away with new ideas, practical tips, and plenty of inspiration.
What airport should I fly into?
The closest major airport is San Francisco International Airport (SFO), located about 2.5–3 hours from Sea Ranch. We recommend flying into SFO and renting a car for the scenic coastal drive. You may also consider Oakland International Airport (OAK) or Santa Rosa Charles M. Schulz Airport (STS) for a shorter drive, depending on flight availability.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Our Sea Ranch Airbnb offers a mix of shared queen beds and cozy single bunk beds. Accommodations will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. You will be informed before you sign your contract which bed you will be in!
How does food and transportation work?
Attendees are responsible for their own transportation. Before the workshop, we’ll create a group chat so you can connect, coordinate car rentals, and travel together if desired.
Daily breakfast and dinner will be provided, with lunch offered in a casual grab-and-go format to allow flexibility for exploring Sea Ranch or enjoying a meal on your own.
